Creating New Relationships

This is less of a question and more of just an open statement , but something that excites me about college is "starting over" in a sense with all your relationships. Depending on where you attend you have to create new friendships and relationships and that's really intriguing to me.
We become so familiar and accustomed to seeing the same faces everyday , but within the next year we'll be surrounded by strangers. I'm a very curious person and I'm going to enjoy meeting people from all around the world especially in an atmosphere that I'm unfamiliar with.

How do you all feel about creating new relationships and friendships as you move on to college? Are you nervous? Or excited like me?

There's been studies to show that college is where you meet most of your life-long friends. If you want to check out the article here's the link:

  1. I'm excited to create new relationships because I feel like its apart of the whole college experience. I want to go away to college exactly for the reason of starting a new outlook on relationships and gain my independence.

  3. This is something that I enjoy picking my brain about. I love building new relationships and meeting new people but, usually suck with the whole staying in contact with thingy and I have problems with social skills as I am shy. That's exactly what I'm wondering is when I leave high school and move into the military is will all my friends in my little squad from high school continue keeping in touch? I hope so because I really value them but, Im very open and accepting to get into new groups or meeting new peeps in the military that are like minded with me. Don't get me wrong I am nervous though but excited at the same time if that's a thing :/ ?
