One of the main questions I ask about college is: how do you know what classes you would take for your major? And also, what if a class you need to take is full? Would you take it the next year? Another question I have is After you do 2 years in a community college, how would you transfer to an university? I have a lot of questions about college and I'm not sure who to ask. If anyone has any answers for me, please feel free to tell me. 😬😬
I'm actually curious about some of your questions too! I can only answer one for sure though. If you need to take a class for a specific major that is full, you probably have to wait; sometimes that might waste a semester or even a year. I've been told that at community colleges, you can still show up to a full class because most professors won't mind adding in students since some people drop the class anyway. Also if you have more questions I would love to hear them because even if I don't have an answer at least I'll start thinking about them too.

ReplyDeleteI can help with some of these questions you have. For knowing what classes you would take for your major is when you actually transfer into the community or 4 year college. The counselors there will help you put together a sheet kinda like a action plan of what classes you would need to take for your major. From there you can enroll yourself in classes online or on campus. Long Beach and Cerritos College has this familiar process and you can do definitely call or email to inquire now about your major and possibly going there. Same thing for universities and Cal States except its more so online but you can sign up for classes on campus as well. For classes being full usually they are done by semesters like math, english, social studies stuff like that. So if a class is full just take a couple classes during the semester to fill in for that class. Its usually better to go on campus and sign up for classes sense you will have personal dialect with someone that works at the college. The whole transferring thingy will be done with your counselor at the college and you talk with them and figure our the process. Hoped this helped!
