I think that almost everyone who has used social media or a certain app, or game that has a chat room has an experience with trolling. I believe that it is important to realize just how big of a threat internet trolls are. To some people it may just cause them a mild discomfort or annoyance and then they will forget about it and move on with their day. However in some instances trolling does not happen only happen for a brief period of time, some users (especially celebrities and the likes) sometimes find themselves under attack by trolls, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. This can easily lead to the person being attacked to quit the certain social media. In worst case scenarios trolling can even push some people of the edge. If someone is constantly harassed they start to believe less and less in themselves until they break.
I personally have only been attacked by a very few trolls. Instead of getting upset and start a complete fight with them, what I do is try to outsmart the troll. What this does is make the person who is doing the trolling become very annoyed and even one time the troll just went on a cussing rant against me. When the troll stops making sense and just tries to use words to put me down, that's when I know the argument is pretty much over and one or two times I have closed the conversation by putting some laughing emoji's, just to make the troll that much angrier. I cant say that I have always beat the trolls, actually many times I just stay quite and avoid the argument all together.
