We ignore but they still come

As much as we try our best to speak our mind about some things, the trolls never leave.  There are little ways to counter their petty attempts to mess with our minds because all trolls have different intentions.  As bad as their comments are or how annoying and rude they may seem, a human being is still behind that account posting such things to mess with others.  There's no doubt that they are trying to mess with people's social lives on the Internet, but how they want to mess with them is unpredictable.  Do they want to see one respond to start a dispute or do they just want to comment about one's thoughts about a subject in a rude manner and move on?  Since they are anonymous, they are unpredictable.  As much as I'd like this activity  to cease to, they will always be around.
Like dust in the air, they'll get noticed once they gather.

So how do you beat these trolls of the Internet?  Well not all can be beat, because their intentions are different, but they all have one purpose, to make people think differently.  Just kidding.  But, it does lead to that sometimes.  The real purpose is to irritate people to the point that they want to stop posting their thoughts all together.  From my experience,  if you want to win most of these disputes online, the best way is to ignore them.  If they see that you are happy and are unaffected by their small talk, they will stop.  Some people are just mean to others to make them feel better about themselves, so this  is the best way to irritate them to a big degree.  If you are affected and  really need to respond,  there are two attributes that your response has to have.  They need to be mellow to the point that they sound like you don't care, and smart enough to the point that they can't say anything back.  If you seem like the logical one, they won't be able to say anything back because in the end, your logic is simple and easy to understand and theirs is just plain stupid.

I wonder what you think about trolls in the web.  Do you have trouble dealing with such people?  Is there one in particular that is so stubborn to leave you alone?  Are you one?  If so, what is your reason for being what we label as trolls?  Please leave your comments below and speak your mind.  Don't worry, in here trolls have no anonymous profile so if someone says something, you'll know where to look for them and find out their intentions.
