Internet life
There isn't a such thing that is a internet life, because you are always going to be the same person. It doesn't make sense, yeah I know that but think about it. You don't suddenly change into another human being or change your whole personality on the internet. However, if you are the person having that two lives type of situation, then it's time to stop. People online are going to see you as something you aren't in real life. People who want to know you more can only see you as a person who is something you aren't. It's like the term catfishing, which is when someone steals a picture of someone else and uses that picture as their own identity. Many people do this because they want to be someone else. It's a harsh world out there and not everyone can keep up with reality. So their only escape to the harsh reality is to have an Internet life to block themselves from real life. I get that but sometimes it's better to face your problems than to prolong the problems forever.

I see what you are saying, but as in terms of maybe online gaming, some people maybe would rather be seen as the character they are portraying. They may want people to see them as that character because that is who they put themselves out to be like online. If it's not causing any harm, I don't see the big deal of having a second personality online. It can also be an outlet for someone being themselves rather than what everyone else wants them to be.
