Is online trolling that big of a deal?
I may sound like the ignorant person now, but I don't really see it as a big deal. I do agree that it can get a little out of hand sometimes. I haven't first-handedly experienced trolling, or been a troll before. And be me saying this, this doesn't mean I support cyber-bullying. I see a difference between trolls and cyber-bullies. The people who attacked Zelda after her father died, those are cyber-bullies. Trolls are the people who are playing little jokes and tricks to get peoples attention and to irritate people. They're just annoying people. Cyber-bullies are the people trying to force you offline and deeply hurt you, like with Zelda Williams. Trolls are often times seemed as bigots and ignorant people, which is what they want to do. They want to be noticed, an if they have to be rude to get that they will be. Which I also want to cover, by giving them this attention it is only encouraging them. By writing news articles about them, they know they can get attention from it. I don't know, it just seems like we're focusing on cyber-bullies rather than trolls.

I completely agree with you! All trolls want is attention in a negative way. And trolling and cyber bullying can have its differences as well you made a good point.
