My Online Troll Story

So one day it was a regular day and i'm instagram and all of a sudden I start getting these followers out of no where so immediately I get to thinking i'm all popular and to remind you this is when I barely started using it so I'm thinking my I'm that guy hahaha.  So I accept all of them so surprisingly one of my or used to be my nerdy friend messages me and says did you just grt a lot of followers out of no where? I said "yeah" he told me to block them I said why? He was like they are spam account and could hack your account so now I'm all scared like someone is going to steal my identity, get me in trouble all these are going through my mind so I block all of them and I think everything is all good so days after I attempt to log in and my password is not working so I gave up and made a new account account and just accepted that my first Instagram account was hacked I didn't really see his or her point in doing so but yeah.
