This source offers many different articles all relating to how these big-name companies are profiting off young children and teenagers. The articles discuss how childhood obesity has significantly grown over the years trying to find fast and efficient ways of helping this childhood obesity epidemic. Companies are preying on young children to be the one that will   bring in others for the same product to make a profit off them and if the children like it while their young it a higher chance they'll keep eating that same product as they get older thus making the companies more money. For example Hot Cheetos, majority of the children in America love Cheetos and I'm sure eat about two bags a day. While the number of children continue to rise do to the lack of healthy snacks the hot Cheetos company is out making more hot Cheetos and coming up with the next adroit way of advertising an unhealthy snack, but somehow making it whole grain or less fattening to seem more appealing to those in the healthy crowd. If you notice food advertisement on TV only portray junk food like cookies, cheeseburgers, ice cream, all the fatty foods no healthier options like vegetables or fruits. he sources above is helpful because it offers different articles and point of views all related to the marketing of food and childhood obesity.
