Thoughts on Food Politics in Our Country

My mindset on the food politics of our country has changed after writing on the topic of animal abuse. The research that I have conducted has led me to believe that the food politics of our country is corrupt. The abuse of farm animals, and the way food is processed has changed mine, and possibly other people's eating habits. Knowing that food possibly comes from animals that have been abused before being killed has led me to lose my appetite at times. Companies that work with the farms that raise the animals can prevent the animals from being abused, by enforcing or implementing animal safety rules to ensure the animals protection, not from being slaughtered, but at least from being abused. Companies can do so, but choose can too because they believe that implementing such a thing would lead them to having to having to change the practices done at farms completely, and can lose them a lot of money. The fact of the matter is animal abuse is inhumane, and that there are better alternatives as to how the animals are taken care of.

  1. I agree with you on animal abuse, it is very inhumane. And I also agree that it has also made me lose my appetite a couple times, and I find myself feeling bad while eating meat. I hope the meat industry does change their ways because we should treat our food with respect.
