Next, I would try to gain some personal stories of people who have experienced false advertisements and the consequences that occur to the company and the steps that would need to occur in order to sue the company. Now, I know this requires a lot of research but I am willing to take the steps to do this in order to create an intriguing research paper. Many are wondering who I could possibly ask for personal experience and I could ask people who work at groceries and or my parents, which I am sure have had a bad experience with food labels. Do you guys have any other suggestions that could be used as good resources in order to make my paper appealing?

My Upcoming Research
So far, I have done a lot of research online and have many resources from websites; however, I hope to accomplish some better resources rather than just ones I could find online. For example, maybe I could go to the library and find a book on FDA labels, rules, and regulations. I feel like if I incorporate the rules, readers would understand why this is such a significant issue in our society. I say this because of how many food manufacturers and food companies have found ways to go around the laws by not breaking them but they try to fool the people with tiny hints that most do not pay attention to. I mainly want to do this to help consumers become aware of what exactly they are buying.

I know that there are some of the fda rules and regulations for food labels on their website online so if you don't have much time to go to the library you could probably find it on their website. Also for your research, maybe you could just ask people what they think certain labels mean and what they perceive that product to be to create a connection with your readers.
ReplyDeleteI definitely think that adding more than online sources, perhaps books or journal articles, would help expand your paper academically and make it more interesting to read. Also, if you are at all interested in the kind of foods grocery stores carry and the types of rules that go along with what they can stock on the shelf, perhaps going to a grocery store and bringing a pad of paper and a pencil and writing down a few notes about what is available would help bring some more depth to the paper as well. Doing this would provide first hand information as opposed to simply writing a paper about what other people have experimented with to get their research.
